Milk and Eggs: Homemade Mac and Cheese

I recently decided that I wanted to start cooking more at home and my good friends over at Milk and Eggs are helping me out! So I’ll be posting recipes monthly (or sometimes more!) using mostly Milk and Eggs ingredients to show how easy your life will be once you make the decision to finally switch over to Milk and Eggs!

This month I made some homemade MAC AND CHEESE!!! WOOHOO

I decided to use my new Instant Pot (THANKS SANTA!) and y’all…it was sooooo easy! I used a recipe that I found on Pinterest, altered it a little bit, and I will absolutely be making it again.

I also found this AMAZING salad dressing on Milk and Eggs that I have been putting on seriously everything. Salad, sautéed veggies, and pretty much anything that can be dipped.

But let’s get cooking!

Here’s what you’ll need:

16 oz pasta

3 cups of chicken broth (or enough to cover the pasta completely)

2 cups of sharp cheese

1/2 cup of milk

2 tbs butter

Salt

Pepper

How to make the magic happen:

Place the pasta and chicken broth into your Instant Pot. Push manual (high pressue) and set the timer for 5 minutes.

Once the time is up, do a quick release.

Then place your Instant Pot on sautee and stir in milk and butter.

Once the butter is melted, stir in the cheese until melted.

Add salt and pepper to taste. (don’t forget to actually taste, it’s the best part!)

Enjoy!

But Sally, what if I don’t have an Instant Pot?!

NO WORRIES FRIENDS. All you need to do is cook your pasta on the stove just like you normally would, just use chicken broth instead (or in addition to) water. Drain your pasta, put it back in the pot, add the milk, butter and cheese and you’re on your way!

See you in the kitchen,

xoxo Sally
