Mini Skirt – 3 Ways

Another quick styling tips post!

As a human with long legs and curves, I have a hard time finding skirts that aren’t mini. I always feel like my a$$ is hanging out. So here are 3 outfit options that I found work for me. The common theme here (besides the skirts) is a top layer that can also cover your backside if you start to feel uncomfortable or that your skirt is riding up.

I hope this helps my other tall ladies expand their outfit options! All pieces linked below.

1. Casual

This is perfect for brunch or a day out on the town. And my favorite part is that if you start to feel uncomfortable in the skirt (which I often do) you can tie the jean shirt around your waist for a little extra coverage!

2. Going Out

My cousin found this shirt at Buffalo Exchange for $3 and forced me to buy it and it quickly became my favorite shirt. It’s so fun and also I love garlic bread. This skirt is PERFECT for a night on the town, its high waisted and flattering but also the ruffle at the bottom is like a little shelf of extra coverage. (P.S. I know I’m wearing sunglasses at night…shhhhh)

3. Work

I love that the 90’s schoolgirl look is coming back. This is also a great transition look from summer to fall. I found this skirt at a thrift store and as soon as I tried it on, I started a mission to find more in the same style. I love pairing it with this blazer because it’s longer than the skirt, yet another trick to give your tush a little extra cover.
