WE MADE IT!!! Fashion month is over.
I must say, it’s a little bitter sweet. Posting round ups everyday and taking the time to look at every collection takes up a lot more time than you think it would! HOWEVER, I love fashion and all of the Fashion weeks so I did it with a smile!
So without any further adieu…Here’s the round up of Paris.
Paris Fashion week is always were the biggest names show their collections. The names that everyone has heard of. Chanel, Alexnader McQueen, Valentino, the list goes on and on. With all of those names come the classic fashion lewks: gowns, suits and so on. Let’s dive in…
1. Gowns
The gowns this year (per usual) were my favorite part. I always have my go to favorites, Elie Saab, Zuhir Murad and McQueen.
McQueen was lovely as always….
But I think my absolute favorite was a designer I’m sad to say I hadn’t heard of until this year! Maticevski. The way the fabric is used and the color palette…It’s just breathtaking. Some of the dressed look like they are made out of liquid.
2. Eighties
DAMN there was a lot of neon and acid wash jeans in Paris! The eighties are making a comeback! Oversized suits and jackets. Neon EVERYWHERE. It’s themes we’ve all seen before but with a new (sometimes) twist.
One designer, Manish Arora, took it to another level with the neon and I LOVE IT.
3. Volume and Shape
With the major eighties theme throughout Paris Fashion Week, came a trend of volume. Designers playing with volume and shape and form in a different way.
One of the biggest trends with shape and volume was a massive puff sleeve creating a circular shape within the look.
And that’s a wrap on fashion month! I hope you guys enjoyed!!
