Three weeks later and I’m still living off of the Coachella high.
First of all, scroll all the way down for my recap video. 😀
In terms of my outfits, I took a new direction this year. I had a pretty specific idea of what I wanted to wear for two of the days and I couldn’t find what I wanted ANYWHERE. Nothing fit the right way or the color was wrong or it wasn’t “flowy” enough for me. Then I remembered that there’s this little thing called a fabric store. And THEN I remembered that my mom is a kick ass seamstress. And so our adventure began. I bought some cheap fabric for a test and made this little number:
And omg it totally worked! So I went and bought some better fabric and got to sewing! Not only did I end up with some awesome new pieces in my closet, but I got the looks I wanted, I got to spend some quality time with my mom and I learned that I am a much better seamstress than I thought!
Scroll down to see what I came up with! And anything that I have links for I’ll add in the descriptions:
DAY ONE:
Everything except the skirt is from Forever 21. The sunnies and necklace I found on sale but you can still get the top!
For these flowers, I just hot-glued fake flowers to the end of bobby pins and voila!
DAY TWO:
BODYSUIT: Forever 21
SKIRT: Shein
BELT: Shein
DAY THREE:
Unfortunately, you cant purchase any of this outfit for yourself.
I made the overcoat and bandana, the shorts are vintage and I honestly couldn’t tell you where I got the top because I’ve had it for so long.
But damn did it make me happy. And that’s the real reason we all do what we do right?
One final shoutout to the epic crew I spent my Coachella weekend with ❤
Catch you all at the next one,
xoxo Sally
thanks for the shout out!! Love sewing together!!
