First, find a dock with a view:

Second you’ve got to show off the whole look:

Then you absolutely must point at something off in the distance:

And make sure you do some hardcore Pinterest-ing before hand to get all of the tumblr worthy pictures that you deserve:

Pose a few more times on the dock just to make sure you got all the right pictures:

Of course make sure you’ve got a great camera for those close up shots:

But most importantly, make sure that you have wonderful and patient friends who will wait for you to get the perfect shot. (And jump in when they think you need a little something extra) :
